The 4th annual CUSTOMTOOLS conference for our value added resellers was held in Copenhagen. During the two-day event we presented new features of CUSTOMTOOLS and the best practices what comes to working with CUSTOMTOOLS and SOLIDWORKS PDM. We also introduced our partnership with Nuovamacut regarding PDM VAR Tools which will be officially available in Q1/2018. We were happy to have a representative from our technology partner Roima Intelligence joining us in the event. In CUSTOMTOOLS 2017 SP1 we will introduce Cloud Connected concept to easily share files with your contractors in the cloud.
Our other products such as xBOM and Publisher were also presented to our VARs. With xBOM you can effortlessly manage different types of BOMs in SOLIDWORKS PDM and with Publisher you can share product documentation, spare part catalogs etc. in dedicated web portal to your customers. With Publisher, you can also easily and cost effectively implement online shop for spare parts.
We arranged a special event for the attendees in the first evening by having a go-kart competition. The winner represented Coffee GmbH, our reseller in Germany.
After having the VAR meeting in Copenhagen we moved to Silkeborg, where we had the first ever CUSTOMTOOLS end-user meeting. We were really pleased about the amount of attendees registered to the event and were happy to receive good feedback regarding the event. Per location, most of the attendees were from Denmark but some took time to come to meet us from distant.
In the user event, we certainly spoke a lot about CUSTOMTOOLS and shared some tips and tricks how to get most out of the product. We also had a customer on stage representing how CUSTOMTOOLS benefits them by integrating SOLIDWORKS to Dynamics AX ERP system.
Overall, we found both events really successful. It's always a pleasure to meet our resellers and end-users to see how they benefit from using our products. We are planning to arrange more end-user meetings in different locations. Next year's CUSTOMTOOLS World for VARs will be held in Germany.
